Overview
WealthBriefingAsia is delighted to confirm the second WealthBriefingAsia Singapore Awards. The awards will be focused around three main category groupings: experts (individuals and teams); products and services for wealth managers and clients, and institutions of all sizes and types.
These awards will build on the success of our established worldwide awards programme, our events business and WealthBriefingAsia’s unique position in the global wealth management market, by focusing on the South-East-Asia markets.
Independence, integrity and genuine insight will be the watchwords of the judging process. This will involve specially convened expert panels drawn from both private banks and trusted advisors and supported by relevant expert third-party organisations.
Uniquely, partner organisations will be included to express the views of clients so that theWealthBriefingAsia Singapore Awards will truly reflect excellence in wealth management from the grass roots up.
BACKGROUND
The WealthBriefingAsia Singapore Awards will be supported primarily by our global network of daily newswires for the wealth and private asset management communities; WealthBriefingAsia andWealthBriefing.
Other supporting publications will be Offshore Red, Family Wealth Report, Executive Compensation Briefing and WealthCareers.
TIMING
The selection and judging process for the 2014 awards will begin in the summer of 2013. Nominations will open on 2nd September 2013 and close on 24th February 2014. All firms will be notified whether they have made the shortlist by 21st March 2014.
MEDIA EXPOSURE
Entrants who are shortlisted will be announced on all WealthBriefingAsia media, as will the eventual winners.
Additionally, an extensive PR campaign will highlight all the winners and shortlisted entrants to relevant media.
AWARD CEREMONY FORMAT
The culmination of the process will be a black tie dinner on 29th May 2014 at Raffles in Singapore during which the winners of the shortlisted entrants will be announced.
This networking event will be conducted in a slick and snappy style. The formalities will not be dragged out unnecessarily as is so often the case at industry awards.
Self-congratulatory pomposity will be strictly off-limits.
PARTNERS
External organisations will be brought into the judging process to further objectivity and to ensure that the views of the industry as a whole, along with ultimate client base, are represented.
These will include specialists in branding, marketing, IT, philanthropy and investment management.
JUDGING PROCESS
There will be two judging panels for the awards.
A panel of trusted advisors who will be responsible for judging the private banking categories.
A second panel of private bankers will judge the trusted advisor categories.
This is to ensure that commercially sensitive information is kept confidential and to avoid conflicts of interest.
Categories
Please click on the category/categories you are interested in entering. Once you have filled in the pop-up application form, a questionnaire giving the detailed questions you need to answer, to complete your nomination, will automatically be sent to you by email.

smartKYC’s AI software is used by banks to automate customer due diligence whether for remediation, onboarding, refresh or continuous monitoring; our technology drives faster, better, and more cost- effective KYC at every stage of the relationship – liberating human effort to focus on decision-making rather than laborious screening and research. smartKYC integrates all relevant KYC sources - external watchlists, media archives, open web search, private company data, internal blacklists and, like a human, it reads everything and extracts useful intelligence in the form of facts. smartKYC presents facts about risks like adverse media, but also provides insights into information like source of wealth, network risk and even ESG misdemeanours. Sophisticated hit scoring maximises relevance and minimises false positives. All of this is done at speed and at scale and, as such, straight through processing opportunities become obvious. In refresh or continuous monitoring mode, smartKYC watches only for net new risks as they emerge and never repeats what is already known.
