UCC alumnus Henry Baye began his banking career as an International Graduate with Standard Chartered. Over the course of a storied 25-year career in the sector he has held leadership positions in Barclays Bank Ghana and Merchant Bank Ghana, gathering insights across a broad range of sectors. Henry’s areas of experience include distribution, wealth management and personal lending. His early work with Standard Chartered focused on delivering a wide range of initiatives for Ghana and the West Africa region, including leading transformation projects and the launch of Standard Chartered’s first ever digital bank in Cote D’Ivoire.

Henry was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank in Jersey in August 2019. Since his appointment he has helped to steer the bank through the COVID-19 crisis while remaining ever vigilant of the threat of financial and cybercrime.

Thomas joined Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) in April 2025 following the acquisition of Kleinwort Hambros Group. Initially appointed as a Senior Private Banker and market lead for East Africa, he later advanced to Head of Private Banking in Jersey and now serves as Head of Wealth Management for the Channel Islands.

With over 30 years of experience in the finance industry, Thomas oversees the wealth management strategy for UBP’s Channel Islands business. His team specialise in delivering tailored solutions to High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals, families, and their structures. The Channel Islands team offers a comprehensive suite of services, including banking, lending, investment, and wealth planning. Renowned for their client-centric approach, the team is committed to providing flexible and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of their clients. Their excellence has been recognised through multiple awards in the private banking industry.

Thomas is a member of UBP UK’s Wealth Management Executive Committee and holds regulatory responsibility for the bank’s operations in Jersey. He also coordinates the wealth management offering across the Channel Islands for the ‘B2B’ offering and as a booking location for Private Bankers across the wider group, ensuring a seamless and consistent client experience.

Throughout his career, Thomas has worked with several prominent financial institutions, focusing on the HNW and UHNW markets across various regions, including East Africa, the Channel Islands, and the UK’s non-domiciled market.

Outside of work, Thomas is passionate about sports. A keen sportsman in his youth, he now enjoys playing golf and coaching junior football at a local club. He is also a director of the Jersey2Africa 4 Football Foundation, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young people in Africa. Through football, the foundation empowers boys and girls in fostering personal growth and creating opportunities both on and off the field.

Steve is a founding director of Investment & Wealth Management Consultants (“IAWMC”) who provide a full spectrum of consulting services, from strategic advice through to delivery for wealth managers, private banks, family offices, asset managers, software vendors and service providers.

Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the wealth and asset management industry gained at Schroders Private Bank, C Hoare & Co, State Street, Bank of New York and management consulting firms. A dynamic, pragmatic and innovative person with the ability to operate at any level up to and including Board level. An excellent communicator with first-rate people management skills and a proven track record of delivering results. Operated as a member of the senior management team in a number of organisations.

Steve is a regular keynote speaker at financial services’ events and is often quoted in the press. He also serves on the judging panel for a number of prestigious wealth management industry awards covering the UK, Channel Islands and Switzerland.

By utilising his extensive network of contacts, Steve is also able to add value to start-up and scale-up Fintech companies and private equity organisations.

James Fleming has enjoyed a long career in banking and finance. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and adviser to several small companies across the Wealth Management, Debt Advisory and Commercial Real Estate sectors. Previously James was Head of International Private Banking at Coutts & Co and then Chief Executive and Vice Chairman of Arbuthnot Latham & Co Limited.

More recently, he was Chief Executive of Sandaire, the Multi-Family Investment Office that was sold to Schroders in December 2020. James started his career with Hambros Bank.

Wendy joined VG in 2022 and brings more than 25 years' experience as a trustee and director navigating intricate landscapes and managing complex structures for entrepreneurs and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.

Thanks to deep experience of managing diverse portfolios, complex trusts and estate planning, Wendy is expert at providing guidance and tailored solutions for her clients’ unique needs and aspirations and securing optimal outcomes for them.

She focuses not only on preserving and growing wealth but also on facilitating intergenerational wealth transfer and fostering a legacy that aligns with her clients' values and goals.

Wendy prides herself on building long-lasting partnerships based on integrity, transparency, and mutual respect. She has a proven track record of working collaboratively with clients, their families and professional advisors to design and implement effective wealth management solutions.

Her approach is characterised by a commitment to personalised service, attention to detail and a proactive mindset, which she draws on to anticipate challenges and opportunities in an ever-evolving environment.

Sean is the Founder and CEO of Greengage. He has extensive experience in financial services, having worked in various executive management positions. He founded Greengage after working at the first bank in the world to offer crypto products to clients, Falcon Private Bank, where he served as the COO and Interim CEO of the London operation until leaving to establish Greengage.  

 Prior to that he held management positions at Clariden Leu, a division of Credit Suisse, and Zurich Financial Services. Mr Kiernan has an MBA from the University of St. Gallen and a BSc from Georgetown University. 

Michelle has had extensive experience in the last thirty years dealing with different markets and cultures in a number of jurisdictions globally which helps her to build solid, strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and her team.   Her leadership skills were tested far beyond anything she could ever have imagined in September 2017 when the British Virgin Islands were hit by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.  This required strong leadership to motivate and  support the team, all of whom reacted to the disaster in different ways, to provide uninterrupted client service and manage a disparate team in different parts of the globe until the local office was up and running again.  Business Continuity Planning is now one of Michelle’s specialties.    Michelle is passionate about providing clients with a personalized level of service going back to the old values of trust management that she learned from her father as a Trustee, whilst at the same time understanding and balancing the needs of the business and managing risk.

Anne is Founder of the online platform AW❖UNITED KINGDOM at americanswelcome.uk. AWUK introduces UK wealth managers registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the United States and dedicated to providing UK-based wealth management services to US, Canadian, and Latin American citizens, residents, and expats. The platform also offers other wealth management-related services. In addition, Anne is the founder of award-winning AW✚SWITZERLAND at americanswelcome.swiss and AW●ASIA PACIFIC | MIDDLE EAST at americanswelcome.asia. She also provides US-oriented, digital, and traditional marketing, communication, and business development strategies through her agency, Americom.

Elizabeth Shaw is a Trust Director at Affinity Private Wealth where she manages key client relationships and leads sustainable initiatives within the fiduciary business.

Elizabeth’s focus is on understanding clients’ requirements and aspirations and providing advice founded on trust and clear communication, ensuring their assets are preserved and enhanced across generations. She also embodies Affinity's values of aligning interests with clients and maintaining a commitment to sustainability.

Elizabeth began her career in Scotland, gaining extensive experience as a private client lawyer both onshore and offshore. With an LLB Bachelor of Laws (with options in Accountancy) degree, STEP qualification as a Trust and Estate Practitioner, and initial investment exams under her belt, Elizabeth’s technical training is extremely well rounded. She is renowned among intermediaries for her technical expertise and her ability to explain complex issues clearly to private clients.

Having a keen interest in developing and recognising talent, Elizabeth thrives on mentoring and coaching her team. She taught the Private Client course on the Scottish Diploma in Legal Practice before relocating to Jersey and is delighted to have the opportunity to support and recognise local Jersey businesses and individuals.

Andy is the Head of Investec Bank in Jersey and has overall responsibility for the banking relationships to Investec’s Financial Intermediary clients in Jersey. Andy has 39 years banking experience, the last 24 years offshore, 18 years of which has been providing banking and debt solutions to regulated companies in Jersey. Andy started his career at RBS group and joined Investec in September 2014.

Bruce is a chartered accountant with over 40 years financial services experience, previously a partner in PwC, latterly as Global leader of their Wealth Management practice and the key driver of their bi-annual Wealth Management Report. Bruce is now CEO of Weatherill Consulting providing advice on client centricity and wider strategic matters to wealth managers. He is the author of The Value of Trust: the quest by Wealth Managers for Trusted Advisor status and a number of other thought leadership reports. Bruce is chairman of ClearView Financial Media and Ten Lifestyle Group Plc as well as a non-executive of a number of companies including , The Wisdom Council and ComPeer.

As managing director of FCM, a regulated trust & corporate service provider, John ensures that the team at FCM provide service excellence to both private wealth and corporate services clients across the globe. As a Chartered Accountant he has more than 35 years’ experience in the finance industry across pure finance, M&A projects, operations and compliance. He joined FCM in 2017 and quickly realised that he was managing a talented and professional team in the UHNW space who were adept at looking after their clients incredibly well with a focus on delivering personal service, something he has always been a firm believer in.

John is responsible for ensuring that FCM runs as effectively and efficiently as practicable while also looking after the strategic direction of the business through business development, acquisitions and new business streams.

Ian is an experienced plural board and executive advisor to wealth managers ,technology providers and is part time Strategy Advisor to Multrees Investor Services. Through an innovative partnership approach, he helps craft market responsive strategies, navigate client, operational, technology and partner changes to optimise success.

He is recognised as a trusted advisor, having supported a range of firms as an independent advisor and as executive of major technology and business consulting brands. These include EY,IBM, PwC and Orbium ,a core banking software platform integrator, sold to Accenture in 2019, where he then held a European wealth industry business and technology transformation advisor role across key markets and clients until late 2023, when he became an independent plural board advisor.
